Damage to the mosaic stone cladding on the internal walls
of Kirkandrews Church. This is a particularly unusual feature of the church.
Water has seeped in at the ends of the roof beams and run down the walls. This has caused the mortar between the cladding stones to crack. In places, damp has caused the stones to fall away from the wall, as in the patch to the right of the window arch. The cracks do not indicate a structural problem; there is no sign of subsidence in the church. |
