We are pleased to announce that Kirkandrews Kirk will be hosting two concerts featuring the Mochara Flute Duo and pianist Nathan Tinker on Friday, 25th and Saturday, 26th July 2025.
Mochara Duo
The Mochara Duo is an exciting new musical collaboration between life long friends, Rebecca Carson and Mark Taylor. The pair met through a mutual private flute teacher in Scotland and later went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama together. Through their studies they gained many memorable musical (and non musical!) experiences that grew their friendship. Becca and Marks’ love for music became intertwined and for years they would play together for enjoyment and usually after a glass of champagne or two, until one evening, when they decided to form a duo and explore the vast and often neglected flute duo repertoire. For these concerts, they are performing alongside Nathan Tinker, whom Mark collaborated with at the Guildhall School also. They have spent many years performing together and so Mark seemed the perfect fit to accompany The Mochara Duo.
